Discover feature: Support channels on Streaming Services

I love this new Discovery/Universal Watchlist feature as I’m subscribed to pretty much every streaming service, however one issue is that I am subscribed to channels within either Amazon or AppleTV, which wouldn’t redirect. Hopefully there could be functionality to configure the selected subscription as a channel of another subscription. For example, on AppleTV I have Paramount Plus, Starz, Britbox, and in addition I have AMC Plus which also includes Sundance Now, IFC, and Shudder. Then on Amazon I have STACKTV (which I don’t think is an option either way)

Without the ability to login to services like Voodoo, Goofle Ploy Store, etc, it’s useless for those services. Because just about EVERY movie is available TO BUY on VOODOO, similar for Amazorn & Goofle Ploy, but I’d want to know & see what I have ALREADY purchased. I’d say having those on without a login is actually less than not useful, it makes it HARDER to use.

I mean I get why you wouldn’t login to Netflex, because you either have it, or you don’t. But even Didney Ploos has things that you only have if’n you buy them. This would also solve the issue with Hooloo or Pear TV or Amuzoon Primal or whstever’s premium channels & proper redirects

Because it is a real PITA scanning all the services for a movie. This feature really is a game-changer.

Kudos to Plex for thinking outside the box and finding a solution people are only just beginning to realize they needed!

Hello,
I am in France and I have subscribed to OCS through Amazon Prime (mainly because it’s convenient to have Amazon Prime videos and OCS in the same app).
This doesn’t reflect in Discover, I can see the OCS app (which doesn’t work for me) and Canal+ (which offers a subscription the same way as Amazon Prime).
I know many people have Amazon Prime Videos but not OCS, but it’s the same with Canal+ subscribers, so it would be logical to have the Amazon Prime option :slight_smile:

I’m thankful that this new feature exists. But compared to what tvOS already has:

  • I gain the ability to add Netflix content to my watchlist.
  • I lose the ability to add all other Apple TV channel content.
  • I have to re-create yet another watchlist for yet another company because nobody can/will talk to each other.

This feature is definitely on the right track, and I want Plex to continue investing in it. But it also still has a long way to go.
