just like google assistant is still not working with plex, discover was a great idea until i used it and it is broken and pointless.
if you cannot open a linked app on a client ecosystem like xbox whixh it wont, its a waste of time. i see the same issues with apple tv and roku.
agaij another great plex feature trumpeted that simply is useless.
I see it as a feature to simply make current local server admins useless. And, trumpeted (marketed) by Plex to make the company more money by making them the primary server admin.
Is that like the “Pointless Forest” in the land of “Point?”
It actually turned out that the “Pointless forest” had plenty of points and I believe that Plex has a definite “Point” in mind with “Discover.” They have signed contracts and have ongoing income from it. It is like the “RoboCop” alternative “ED-209” that was described as::
“Having a high set purchase price and guaranteed replacement parts for 25 years… Who cares if it works?”
Discover is Plex’s “ED-209” and “Who cares if it works?”
