I know there’s people that like this discover feature, but it has turned it into a big issue for my users. They want to know why you would search a personal media server and have stuff popup that you don’t have. My answer to them. I don’t own the software Plex does. They are telling us what we need in it so they can make more money. This is no longer a personal; media server. Discussing with my users about moving to Emby. I have lost control of my library.
Users can now turn that off in each client.
I tried, I have nothing selected on mine. Have an up to date Nvidia Shield Pro. Turning it off is not an option that I see.

You can only turn it off in Search results. On the Shield, go to the Search field:
Click on the Settings icon (next to the microphone, highlighted in white above).
Go down to “Discover (Beta)” and disable the “More Ways to Watch” option.
This doesn’t turn the Discover feature off completely, but your search results will no longer include results from Discover.
