Hi,

When the user to whom I shared my library adds content from my server to his watchlist, and accesses it from his Watchlist, my server is not offered in the places to watch. I think the feature is missing from Plex.

The problem is reported on IOS but the problem is on all platforms.

Are your libraries set to use the current-generation Plex agents (e.g. Plex Movie or Plex TV Series)? Plex can only associate your content within the watchlist/Discover features if those agents are being used… if you already do, you might need to refresh the metadata for this library for Plex to pick up the required unique ids for your content.

I’vnt the problem with my account admin. The problem is with my shared users.

Maybe 2 „last resort“ questions:

  1. Have you checked your friends can access the library ok (e.g. no remote access troubles)?
  2. This is about friends with regular accounts, not managed users — isn’t it?

Yes, this is a friends account, not a home account. He has access to the library in question

My question was aiming at verifying if they can actually access your library… the client will do a live check to local/shared servers to see where the video is available (beyond the online sources Plex knows about; Plex doesn’t know what’s on your server). So if your server is temporarily disconnected or not accessible from outside your home network, their clients won’t know the movie is available on your server.

You had mentioned your friends are experiencing the same behavior using different clients? Does it make a difference if they try a different browser / disable any plugins/add-ob’s?

The server is perfectly connected, without accessibility problems. The person having the problem is using an iPhone but told me that they are meeting on their LG TV.
The user in question has just tried again on a browser in private browsing, with the same account, and he finds the same problem, my server is not suggested in the list “Where to watch”

I’m not even sure what the issue is. It seems like the client apps fail to get a response from your server when they check if a movie is available.

Can you check with them what particular requests fail when looking at a movie you know to be in your library?
Depending on what browser you’re using, there’s usually a console/inspector/… mode where you get to see such technical details about successful/failed requests, what files have been loaded…
