Previously in the web version when you viewed a multi disc album each disk was easy to identify as disk 1, disk 2 etc…
Now all you get with the current interface using 3.2.0 and the previous incarnation is a list of tracks in the right order, but where the disks change there is nothing to identify the disk. On 2 CD albums this is not a real problem, but if you wanted to play say disk 4 of 6 locating the start of disk 4 has now become a somewhat difficult task scrolling down and counting the track 1’s instead of simply locating disk 4 and selecting the first track.
Please re-instate the disk number display.
It’s a known issue. See this post from a Plex employee.
how would I go about naming my multi disc albums so that they show up as 1 album under the artist view but as disc 1 and 2 under the single album view?
Late reply, of course. I’m putting this here for future reference.
After searching for an answer to my multi disc music woes (i.e. 2 cds, or more, per album), and finding no definitive answer, I fiddled around with the directory structure and folder naming on my own. The following worked for me.
With no consideration for or making edits to meta tags, I now have albums with more than one cd being displayed in Plex as one album, and each disc listed within the respective album:
/Artist Name
– /Album Name
------ / 1
-------- 01 Track Name.ext
-------- 02 Track Name.ext
------ / 2
-------- 01 Track Name.ext
-------- 02 Track Name.ext
