Followed the faq for premium music changed a double CD into 1 they are marked disc 1 n 2 disc 2 disappear into disc one all was good but none of my dual discs are marked disc 1 n 2 but they are in correct order of disc 1 n 2. Example 1 -17 then 1-19 all in a row but not separated into discs to systems 36 tracks
Again this is doing it for all multi sets
It worked fine for non premium music.
What? I’m sorry, but I can’t follow that.
If you read the faq you will see im stating that i did what the faq say but in the end it is clear
Multi disc cds are all in the same album folder now but not marked as disc 1 and disc 2 etc…
They marked find in non premium setup
Are you talking about the disc labels missing in the album view for multi-disc albums?
If so, this is a known problem that Plex is (hopefully) working on. Here’s a post from a Plex employee.
yes And thank you I’ve wasted a week messing with it every which way
I have another issue where an album was named wrong and created its own folder i have since fixed the issue so now i have 2 selections for the same artist one with one album the other with 10. I tried rescaning and unmatching is there a way to fix this without merging.
TIA
Unfortunately, the Plex Dance is probably your best bet. It’s a workaround for another problem (Refresh Metadata not working) that has been around for a long time.

Luckily, step 4 (clean bundles, the longest step) is not necessary with music.
Thanks guys ill give it a go. I did a refresh And rescan several times just never moved to files away do i need to move all the artist files or just the album that’s out of place?
Thanks again
That artical about multi discs is very old is there a way to downgrade part of The server so you can see that correctly when adding music.
The latter.

Could you please point me to the article, because I have no idea what you mean.
In the mean time take a look here, this is what is working for me:

the artical is from the link in beckfields second post I have that issue as well when scanning stuff in. Now I know to goto another device and look but it should have been fixed on the server by now.

Scanning media has nothing to do with that.
What @beckfield is referring to is a purely cosmetic issue.
Please provide some screenshots of what you see as an issue with scanning, to help us better understand.
My issue was/ is when I was fixing multi disc for my library I was getting no disc 1 and disc 2 after I fixed them into one folder and I’ve spent a week thinking I was doing something wrong because my multi discs looked like the ones in his picture. I had a breakdown trying to fix it and find an answer.
I finally got one today and I don’t understand how this is broke since February.
So when I scan a item in on the server I now know to look on a separate device to see if it scanned correctly.
When I did the old music out worked fine I just got a plex pass nWo style, 4 life and am creating a premium version. And I’m just getting problems like this that I didn’t have prior in regular music when I did it.
I deleted everything and re scanned, it doesn’t separate discs on Samsung either but android it does have to test others later.
The issue has nothing to do with Plex Pass vs no Plex Pass.
No matter the library type, some newer releases of Plex clients fail to display the Disc x information.
The tracks however are still listed like they should:
First all the tracks from Disc 1,
then all the tracks from Disc 2
and so on.
The issue is known and it will get fixed eventually.
