DLNA and Server Issues

Server Version#: 1.41.0.8994
Player Version#:

This may not be solely Plex thing. But here’s my situation:
For the life of me, I can’t get any DLNA (Plex and others) to work and be recognized by any device. I am on a Macbook Pro with a M1 Pro chip. I have DLNA checked on plex. I have enable local discovery checked. I just updated to Sequoia, but it wasn’t working before the update too. I have no idea if it’s some setting on my Mac that needs to be fixing or if it’s something with the router (we have Spectrum).

Here’s where it also gets weird. My living room Roku can see my plex server in the plex app (even if I am not logged in). The bedroom Roku cannot. All the same network. All connected 5G

Like I mentioned above, I don’t think it’s Plex specific given that other DLNA server apps are also having the same issue. Plex is what I would like to use, however.

Help! (and thanks!)

What DLNA client are you using on your Mac?
Are all those clients on the same subnet as your DLNA server?

On a side note… why using DLNA if you have a client (Roku) that has a native Plex client?

Right now I uninstalled everything except Plex. So I was hoping to use the Plex Server as my dlna

And my use case is not just the Roku. I also have a Quest 3 headset I would like to use to access my videos.
