Hello
I have 2 synology servers on the same network
I discover that I can see only one Plex DLNA server from my DLNA Devices at a time
I both are running only one Plex server
If I’m shutting down one of the 2 I can see the one active without any problem
Is there a way to have both visible (some advance settings to adapt ?)
Some elements
I changed their name in settings But doesn’t help
there is 2 lines on "built-in " DLNA server of synology, so coming from plex
I seems that this topic is not new but I didn’t find any solutions
I can’t think of any reason as to why they cannot co-exist. Plex DLNA Server uses tcp port 32469 and that is announced to local devices for the IP of the server.
I can only see one active server on your plex.tv account. I also see that you have a Plex Home - that is incompatible with DLNA
I ran into this problem several years ago and never could find an answer. I wound up switching dlna servers (to serviio) which does not have this issue with any of my clients.
My guess is some clients index the servers using a low level field that isn’t changing between plex servers and so they all get overwritten in its table. This is why it’s random which server winds up winning and being shown on the screen. Whoever announced last wins.
