When accessing Plex media server library through Yamaha Network Receiver (I have 2: RX-A830 and RX-479) the DLNA interface doesn’t bring up the playlists. Secondly on RX-A830 when I try to narrow down using Genre I am then shown Artist within Genre which inhibits me to play songs belonging to same Genre but from multiple artists…
DLNA not functioning as expected outweighs all other cool benefits Plex may have to offer. I was seriously considering paid subscription even lifetime one but of all the things this hap is too glaring.
The Synology NAS media server does a far better job with DLNA if you are looking for reference point.
I was hoping Plex would solve one stop one place for all things media but this one single feature is a downer for me.
I could just continuing Synology apps is where my head is at.
Please enable playlists in DLNA and I will consider moving over to Plex for good
