DLNA profiles for playstation 3

I’ve been tirelessly searching for a way to still stream to my PS3 after Plex abruptly just abandoned us, and have finally found a route to do so via dlna over internet.

however, playstation 3 is a pretty retarded system, and can’t play everything, so I’m looking for a way to get Plex server to transcode the stream.

I’ve read somewhere (on Plex forum) that DLNA profiles are stored in .xml files, but the only xml file I have is the main configuration file for plex..

so my question is, can I somehow modify the way Plex streams to my PS3 via DLNA (I can see in the log file that Plex is “choosing” playstation 3 profile,) so somewhere there must be an file to edit, and what commands are available?

Nobody here that knows anything about the profiles?

bumping again… or am I mistaken?

it’s mentioned here: Client Profiles - Do these get overwritten?
