Hi all, I just picked up the Plex Pass and am learning about the features that I have gained. One major reason I didnt really push my friends onto Plex to stream my media was because then they would have to buy the app, which isnt as easy to recommend, especially when they have never heard of Plex before.
So now that I have Plex Pass, do people I share content with still have to buy the app? Or do they get the 1minute limit removed as long as they are connected to my Plex pass server?

If they are “Home” users they do not… But if you invite them, and they wish to use it on a mobile device, they will need to purchase the app as a 1 time fee.
However, other things to consider. The only apps that cost anything are the mobile apps, they can still install on Android TV, Fire TV, Apple TV, and any Smart TV Apps free of charge. For Android devices, I recommend people use the Google Opinion rewards app, I haven’t actually paid for an app in about 4 years, cause google is always giving me free money for taking survey’s…
