Hello, I just bought lifetime plex pass and I ordered my NAS that I am using for Plex (it supports hardware transcoding). I plan to send members of my family links to access my library, but I am curious if they are going to need Plex Pass to enable the hardware transcoding, or since they are accessing my media server that will have that enabled, it will be applied to them as well when accessing video from my library?

they only need their own Plex Pass / app activation if they want to use the restricted / mobile clients.
your server and its features are bound to your Plex Pass.
