Hi all, I searched for an answer in the forum but couldn’t find one. If this question has already been answered please link me and I’ll delete this.
I am running a server with plex pass and have set up some managed accounts for my household. My sister wants to access it remotely and I was wondering whether I should ask her to set up a new plex account or for me to add her as a managed user? As she is in a different location the content would be transcoded 99% of the time.
I was just wondering if the hw transcoding feature is reliant on the server having plex pass or the client having plex pass? If it is the former I would prefer for her to have her own account which I then give access to the server. If it is the latter I’d probably set her up as a managed user rather than her paying monthly just to access my server.
