Hi there,
Over the last week, I tried to set up PlexMediaServer in multiple ways to setup plex on my linux machine.
No matter what I do, I cannot claim the server.
My current status is, I have installed plex on my Linux(Elementary OS) machine using instructions from the following page:
I tried the instructions on this page to no avail.
https://support.plex.tv/articles/204604227-why-can-t-the-plex-app-find-or-connect-to-my-plex-media-server/
I have claimed(through the URL) the token on the right acount but when I try to login into my localhost, I get “Looking for Servers”
I have attached the log from the plex web app.
plexwebapp.log (34.3 KB)
Any help is really appreciated.
Thank you.
EDIT:
Attached Plex Media Server.log file

Try this, and use 127.0.0.1 when asked for an IP address
Also need PMS logs, and not WebClient logs if it fails
@dane22 I will try this but in the mean time, I have attached the server logs to the original post.

Log shows lots of:
Aug 14, 2019 23:18:51.743 [0x7f0d65ffb700] ERROR - Error issuing curl_easy_perform(handle): 28
Aug 14, 2019 23:18:51.743 [0x7f0d65ffb700] DEBUG - HTTP simulating 408 after curl timeout
Above indicates either a bad default route, or slow/bad DNS servers
Suggest you for a start switch to Google DNS (8.8.8.8) as primary DNS

Can I humbly ask, if it was the Claimit script, DNS or gateway that helped you?

It was the DNS config. Changed it to 8.8.8.8 and worked right away.
