Unable to claim a server

Hi,

I apparently have a problem with my Plex account. I have a server set up and running with a Docker container. However, I’m unable to claim the server. There’s always an issue, saying it’s not a secure server. I click claim, but the button reappears. When I check the Plex container logs, it says the server was claimed successfully. Then, when I connect to the desktop app, it says my credentials are invalid. I’ve changed my password multiple times to no avail. I’ve sought help and the conclusion we’ve reached is that it’s an issue with my Plex account. I’d like to note that I have Plex Pass.

I’ve also tried claiming the server by copying a token in Docker, and when I check the logs, it shows as successful. However, when I access the server locally or through the desktop app, it’s not the case.
I’ve been scouring the forums and the internet, but I haven’t found anything relevant that could help. Thank you for your assistance.

Um, check which docker “network” type you are using. One can isolate your docker into its own subnet, which is a pain because you MUST be in the same subnet as the server to claim it.

Don’t know if this is the reason, but it is worth ruling out.

You were right, it was a network issue. I solved it about three hours ago. I tried with a basic compose file, and I set network_mode to host. I also created a resolv.conf file with Cloudflare’s DNS. It wasn’t straightforward, I had to examine many logs. Thanks for your response, which was spot on despite the limited information.
