Doctor Who 2005 Specials

I’m having a problem with the Doctor Who (2005) Specials. They are all named as per thetvdb.com, but a number of them are coming up with the wrong titles in plex. . For example, Doctor Who (2005) - s00e161 The Power of the Doctor.mkv is discovered as “Making Doctor Who with Russell T Davies”. It is like the library is using something other than the TVDB for matching episodes.

Assuming your library is set to use the Plex TV Series agent, Plex will usually default to the episode order from The Movie Database (TMDb).

You can configure the default episode order for each tv-show library or override that default for individual shows:

  • For a library: … > Manage Library > Edit… → Advanced > Episode order
  • For a single show: :pencil2: > Advanced > Episode order
