I just converted my TV library to the Plex TV Series Agent, (Because of the constant update notification), and the numbering for my Doctor Who specials are one off…
Where is this agent pulling the episode lists from originally?
How can we see this?
I use PyMedusa for TV management, and it doesn’t have the ability to pull from Plex for media info.
I think the moviedb is the default ordering, but I went into the library and changed it to the tvdb as my default ordering.

Well, that’s not it… Themovedb has 209 specials listed vs 159 for thetvdb, vs 158 for the plex agent. (this includes the new one airing this weekend.)

Did you actually change the setting in Plex?
I can use the workaround, but it still doesn’t answer the question of WHERE can I view the episode order/etc before I convert, etc…
It’s a simple question for the developers to answer… Where is your metadata from? What episode ordering show we be using for the plex series agent? If you are generating your own from scratch, how can we access this to make sure we are naming our shows correctly?
Ok, it’s not under the show that I needed, but advanced under the entire library.
Episode ordering is located under there, and then I can select TVDB.
This is the episode info I go off of that has always worked for the specials: Doctor Who (2005) - Aired Order - Specials - TheTVDB.com
Its under both locations. If you edit at the show level, under advanced there is an Episode Ordering option that defaults to the library default. Along with an Episode Sorting that may also affect what you want.
Under the Show advanced edit, my episode ordering choices are
Airing Order
DVD Order
Absolute Ordering.
No TVDB…
What Agent/Scanner are you using? If you are using the new Agent, did you upgrade your library? If so did you do a metadata refresh?
