TV show matching getting some specials wrong

Server Version#: 1.32.5.7328

So the TV Series matcher is getting some specials named incorrectly for a certain long-running british sci-fi series.

I found the following support article: https://support.plex.tv/articles/advanced-setting-plex-tv-series-agent/ and I suspect changing Episode Ordering to the TVDB would fix the problem, but I can’t find that setting.

Beyond that, what’s the source for the new(ish) plex series agent’s episode naming? When plex was using the TVDB as a source, I could go to the TVDB website and verify episode numbers (particularly for specials) to ensure or fix up matches. I’m not sure where I could go to figure that out with the new agent.

Can someone help?

OK, I believe the new plex TV agent is using themoviedb.org (aka TMDB) for it’s data source… which is bad. TMDB actually claims the show has ended (it hasn’t, a new season is coming), and TMDB does not have the latest specials in it’s episode listings at all. They’ve given the same special episode numbers to content from a blu-ray, which was never aired, as TVDB has given for specials which have actually aired.

Can someone help me figure out how to use TVDB instead of TMDB for a specific show, or even for all shows? Plex hounded me to upgrade to their new scraper, and now I’m not convinced it’s an upgrade.
