It’s about my antivirus browser, Avast . I’ve enjoyed using it until today. It’s only the one site but it is totally unusable for me. When I type in plex.tv the Avast One browser through my antivirus adds “me” on the end and I get a page so impossible to navigate with really HUGE images. Bing is good; Chrome is like it has always been. No problems with DuckDuckGo or Firefox. It appears to be only Avast. Any suggestions to fix? (Other than rebooting for the sixth time, and yes, I’ve cleaned the cache several times.) Also, I have contacted Avast. I just ask here in case anyone else has had a similar issue. Thank you.
I have never heard of a thing called “antivirus browser”.
Is this a specially locked-down web browser, which disables potentially risky features of a regular browser?
If so, then it is quite expected that this will cause trouble with the plex web app.
Try using a regular web browser. It is no problem to use a different browser for Plex alone and nothing else.
“Secure” browsers like Brave also tend to have this type of issue in their default configuration. I have never used Avast Browser but it likely disallows a lot of things. It may have options to whitelist certain sites/URLs
