Does anyone know how to get support? Some forced Roku update broke my TV

Ok, the Roku client upgrade isn’t just ugly. I can’t navigate the interface anymore. Most of the remote buttons flat don’t work now, I can go side-ways, and nothing else. Also, the UI change makes it appear that my TV backlight went out, I can’t read anything unless I get up and walk over to the TV up close. I have no TV now because of this. Does anyone know how to get support on this thing? I have a lifetime pass but it says they won’t do email support so I’m not sure how to go about this. I understand stuff happens, but I need support on this thing now and can’t figure out how to contact them.

They aren’t supporting anyone for anything at the moment. Juding by how they’ve delt with these issues in the past, this is going to be a long-term problem that probably will take many months, if not forever. As for me, I have already installed Emby and purchased their premiere option. (originally tried Jellyfin but it’s just too clunky still for me) Both Jellyfin and Emby have free options, so if nothing else it’s a good stopgap incase plex reverses course by some magical miracle. At this point I’d suggest doing the same.

Call your TV station and share with them the problem and ask they reach out to Plex.
