Does/can plexamp bypass Android's audio engine?

I learned that android resamples audio content internally. This can be seen using poweramp’s audio info panel (which I would love to see something similar in plexamp).

I also learned that there is a specific audio player that possesses the capability to bypass Android’s audio engine and like an LG Phone, net higher quality sound from the usb port.

Not at the moment as it is what allows sweet fades, volume levelling, gapless playback etc.
