I have a 7.1 home theatre system which works fine playing blurays or games on ps4 and also with wdtv live. But when im playing my 7.1 movies on plex app for ps4 my receiver only shows that 2/3/1 5.1. Does plex for ps4 support 7.1?
What is the best way using plex for dtsma or dolby true hd 7.1 movies with a 7.1 system?
I am having the same trouble. Whenever I play any 7.1 audio with Plex on PS3 or PS4, the rear channels do reproduce any sounds. It’s like it converts it to 5.1 audio. I confirmed the file on Windows 10 with Mediainfo, and it shows 8 channels being present. I use handbrake to encode. but the Playstation Plex app does not output any sound from the rear speakers.
