That article what is supported on the smart TV apps. as far as wha they can direct play.
The short answer is that you can add an m2ts file to your Plex Media Server but all players have different capabilities. Generally they will be what ever the manufacturer made the device support. If the device does not support the file type, codec, etc then the Plex Media Server supports it by being able to transcode or remux into a compatible format or container.
thanks so much. found that Plex does support m2tf file, the problem is I created m2ts symlinks would not be recognized by Plex
