I have two HD Homerun with separate antennas. One tuners’s antenna is pointed for a specific channel for optimum signal strength. The second tuner is used for all the rest of the OTA channels. Is there a way to specif which tuner is selected when I view a channel. I am running Plex 1.10.0.4523 on Windows 10 and I am a Plex Pass user. Some of the posts state this is fixed in version 2.10.x. The only version that I can download when in the “Beta” mode is v1.10.0.4523. How do I download 2.10.x?
If you indeed have two separate HDHomeRun boxes… Yes… and it’s in your Plex DVR settings. You can specify which channels each tuner can “see” by clicking and unclicking the checkmarks next to the channel after you’ve scanned them. You can have specific channels on one tuner, specific channels on another… and possibly shared channels between them if you’d like.
Can you prioritize the tuners? I have both a connect and an extend. But recordings seems to happen on the connect. But I’d like to use the extend first because of better transcoding.
I tried your suggestion and it failed. When only one box has the check for the specific channel and that box is the second one in the list, it fails to connect. I eliminated the first box to test that the second one was working and it test ok.

There is indeed a way to prioritize the tuners. It’s global though… you can’t prioritize the tuner based on the channel. Plex will look at the tuners as a whole and prioritize. I’m not sure how to do this though, and from what I understand it gets a bit complicated. Other users have posted about it, and I’m sure one will chime in.

Unfortunately I don’t have experience with doing this myself as I run a single antenna, dual tuner system. I’ve seen others post about it though, so I know it’s possible.
I solved the issue.
Here is another blog that supplied the solution https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/comments/7gila4/plex_dvr_with_2_hd_homerun_connects_wont_ever_use/
I am running Plex 1.10.0.4523 on Windows 10.
Here are the steps that I took to solve the issue for using two Homerun boxes.
1.) Remove DVR from Plex
2.) login directly to each Homerun box and deactivate 1/2 the channels on each so a given channel will only appear on one box
3.) Re-add the DVR to Plex
4.) Re-add each Homerun box and scan the channels
5.) Verify that the each channel only appears on one box
6.) Let Plex build the Program Guide
My conclusion is once the program guide is built, it associates the tv program to the first Homerun box that it can find with that channel. It will NOT go to a second box even if that channel is activated on both boxes.
