Does Sonos still work with the latest version of Synology (7.2)

I plan to upgrade to either DS423+ or DS923+ from my DS720+ and want to make sure Sonos will still work (I’m on version 6.2.4-25556-update 7).
I had archived this note from about 2 years ago:

When updating to version 7 of DSM, the Synology support person said I need to do a setting so Sonos will work. He said it would be in the Control Panel/File Services/advanced settings (same place you go to clear SMB cache).
In 7 it will be in the Advanced / and then “others tab”. He said to enable NTLNv1. This will be what you need to do if you update to version 7.

Is this still the case or has this been updated in some fashion? I have invested a lot of money into my Sonos systems and need to make sure Sonos will work in the new version of Synology when/if I upgrade to 7.2.

I would appreciate the help in what I need to do. I’ll be moving my current drives from my DS720 so I want to make sure I do what I need to in making sure Sonos continues to work seamlessly with Plex on my Synology.

Thank you!

I cannot speak for Sonos.

As for Plex, you’ll have a lot of small details as you upgrade

If you don’t panic in the process, you’ll get there.

The process is well documented but detail-rich.

As for what you might need to do with DSM - Sonos, You will need speak to either Sonos or Synology.
