DSM 7 on DS214play

Hello new to these forums I recently upgraded my DiskStation to version 7 from 6(stock) as I was having issues telling me that I do not have access to the server. After upgrade the previous version of plex got deleted I had to delete all of my TV shows and films (not actual files) it now says that an update is available even though there isn’t and no matter how many times I click “claim this server” it doesn’t work

Any ideas?

Server Version#:1.25.8.5663-e071c3d62
Player Version#:Synology (DSM 7)

I did this a while ago and followed what was said in this thread:

I don’t remember exactly what I did but it eventually worked. I remember it was a bit confusing. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, ill check it out.

Do not install DSM 7.1 beta/release candidate. It is not compatible with Plex. Plex will not install on a NAS running DSM 7.1.

It is in the document @kylborn linked, but sometimes missed.

To claim a Plex server on a Synology NAS running DSM 7.0, you must be using a system on the same network as the server. You must point the browser directly at the IP address of the NAS, http://[syno_ip_address]:32400/web. Do not click the “open” button in Package Center, do not use QuickConnect, do not use a domain name. This is only required for claiming.

I have appeared to have fixed this issue, it was a DNS service that was being pointed to the router as I use a raspberry pi for adblocking purposes, it was offline lol I fully appreciate the time and effort of the plex community for guiding me through these services, also sorry for the newbie questions ;).
