I cannot get chrome cast to work if there is anything from Tidal. It will play the first song and stop. The progress bar just keeps going. The next and previous buttons do not work. If I load a local album and cast it, it will work perfectly. Just music with anything from Tidal in the playlist. Has this been implemented?
Apparently Chromecast support shouldn’t be too far away. If you have Android phone try casting screen/audio and put your phone to do not disturb… works well for me until we get full Chromecast ability.
I am guessing it is not implemented as of yet. I tried playing something directly from Tidal and it said remote playing is not allowed.
Your suggestion did not work for me. If anything from Tidal gets added to the playlist, it plays one song and stops. It isn’t an absolute necessity at this time. New stuff, means some growing pains. I’m sure it is very high on the list.

Tidal also doesn’t scrobble to Last.Fm

I understood him. It didn’t work though. I was trying with a Google home. I tried it with a TV and sound bar and it worked on those. I’ll try the home later after unplugging it and then plugging it back in. Maybe it’s hung up from numerous tries. The home works quite well from the actual tidal app. Which again is more than adequate. I’m sure this gets working well down the road.
I tried it on a group of speakers that included home minis and a chromecast audio

Tried again with Google Home. Not working at all. Shows on the phone it is. No Sound. I tried pulling plug and re plugging in. No joy. It works fine on the main stuff though with this work around. Tidal app works fine on the Home, so it is more than enough.
In New Zealand the Chromecast icon in Plex is greyed out (inactive) when you open the Tidal screen, so Chromecast integration is obviously not implemented. Also, Tidal does not work with Alexa.
I was able to get it to work casting to chromecast. It’s really quirky, but if you follow these steps it should work.
- Start playing any song and cast to the chromecast. (this should work on first song).
- For the second song/album make sure to click “Add to queue”
It seems to work using the active queue for me… hope this helps you.

Plex + tidal + cast would be the perfect combination to listen to high quality Music in one app
