Just thought I would offer feedback. I signed up for the 30 day free trial of Tidal, spent about 30 minutes creating a playlist and then tried to cast that to all of my speakers in the house which are chromecast speakers. When I got the error that Tidal doesn’t support streaming to chromecast that is when I canceled the Tidal account. just thought you might want to know.
Yes, same way here, I’m very disappointed that you can’t stream your Tidal content on chromecast speakers, this is a major show stopper for me and I won’t renew my subscription.
Deezer and other content providers do this just fine without hassle.
+1, tidal is worthless without Chrome cast support. Plex, please stop wasting time on useless integrations. Get it working before promoting these add-ons.
Is this from the Plex app? I’ve never had and issues casting Tidal to my chromecasts and Home speakers; however I think I’ve only tried it from the Tidal app itself.
I agree this is an issue - especially because the “An Intro To Tidal” page doesn’t explain this as a limitation alongside the others. Plex Admins please add this detail and let us know if this is a feature that can/will be added in the future!
