Does Tuner Need to Be Plugged In to Server Computer?

Perhaps a dumb question, but I can’t find an answer in the support docs or here in the forum. I have my Plex server set up on a Win 10 computer in my office, but was looking into using the Live DVR option with PlexPass. This, though, would entail me getting the Hauppauge for XBOX tuner out in the living room to plug my antennae into. Simply put, would doing so still work with my server in the office? Does the tuner have to be installed on the same device as the server, or just be on the same network?

Take a look at https://www.silicondust.com/
Their tuners only need to be connected to the same local network as the server machine.
No drivers needed and the hardware platform or operating system software of the server doesn’t matter.

Yes, a good choice simple and easy to set up. Yet there has been discussions about 4 tuner model and Plex DVR.
