That hot fix has not yet been deployed. They just allow one to sign up for it in advance so when it deploys you will get. I haven’t signed up for it. I was allowed to pretest the fix since I had two units before launch date.

The hotfix is working well. Just downloaded one of those Lg demo files 4K DV atmos. It’s beautiful and Plays fine.
Hi. I’ve created a couple of these and they play well (except dts-hd track is out of synch when playing on new shield via Plex, synch is fine via Plex on my LG C7) when I mux them I’ve been muxing in the idx vob sub track, as soon as I select subs either during playback or before playback these files freeze.
What are the correct settings in Plex fir subs to stop the player choking?
Is it because I mixed the subs into the file?
Should I just have subs as an external srt?
And what about chapters, is is safe to add these to the mp4 with an header editor?

Hey guys is anyone having trouble playing HDR content on the new player?
Ive had to revert back to the old one as the new Player keeps crashing or doesnt show the picture. Non HDR content works perfectly on the new player but HDR is a no go for me on it. Like it really struggles
Do you have subs enabled? My files above are struggling when subs are enabled with the new beta.
no subs enabled. Does your HDR vids play normally on the new player?
I only tested last night, I was getting a lot of buffering (drive is directly attached to shield) but I didn’t place to much thought into it as I was trying muxes with subs enabled, maybe it is a larger problem, I’m away for the weekend so won’t be able to test again till Sunday.
Yeh sounds like you’ve had similar issues to me. Keeps buffering or crashing. When it does play there always a stutter every 10 seconds or so. See if anyone else can confirm these issues?
Could you send me Plex for Android logs after you’ve experienced the crash.
will do tonight. What about the stuttering when it does play the video? its never smooth playback. Will the logs pick that up?

Ah right, I just manually installed the .apk.
I was able to play the demo file uploaded here (the one with .ts extension) but I couldn’t play any .mp4 (dual or single layer) I had.
Does anybody have a demo .mp4 Dolby Vision file that works for them I could try?

I also got the Shield 2019 Pro today. I would like to test DV videos right now. I have all LG test videos as well as single and dual layer DV material. Now I need the beta APK. I have also registered for the betas but also received no mail. I only get Plex Pass Lifetime for Christmas 
What APK do I need?

That sample has Atmos, that’s why it won’t work, it’s currently non standard.
Only Dvdfab single layer generated files will work.
The sample is a DVDFAb single layer generated file with atmos added later with mp4box nightly, like stated here:

Some folks are reporting that they are playing DV with TrueHD Atmos with Plex beta.
I just read that the Plex Pass is required. I have booked it now.
Hi I have been following that thread myself, there is a request for the required codec to be added to mrmmc… they have successfully played it back on a certain player on a pc, I can’t see any claim where it plays with Atmos on Plex!

Just tried the new Plex beta out on my Shield 2019 with your Dolby Vision DTS-X and DTS-HD MA and both files played back in Dolby Vision with DTS-X and DTS-HD MA audio.
Sorry for a little offtopic… Can you help a plex beta noob for a short time? I now have the pass (no idea why this is not displayed here.) Now I certainly need the latest server version - as I understand it, he does that automatically when I allow betas.
