Downgrading from plex pass Version 1.4.1.3362 PMS.

Hey all,
I need to downgrade back from 3362 to 3285 We use an IPTV service with the IPTV cigaras channel and since upgrading the PMS tonight on Windows 7, all channels via our rokus are down. works fine via plex web. My kids are going bonkers! In the mean time i need to downgrade a version . Is there a walk through to downgrade without losing an expansive library of metadata?

Under Windows it is as easy as:

  • stop Plex (via the task tray icon)
  • uninstall Plex Server via the regular control panel ‘Software’ (do not use 3rd party uninstaller apps!)
  • install the older version

you will find the older installation programs in
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Updates

is there a similar way to do this using mac yosimite? when i navigate to library/application support/plex media server/updates/ and unzip the last version i get an unpackaged contents folder.

  1. In the Finder window on the left-hand side under Favorites select Applications.
  2. Right click on Plex Media Server. Select Show Package Contents.
  3. Replace the Contents folder with the one that was archived.
