The problem has been always there.
If you use the download option so you can follow your series away from home, plex won’t recognize the correct playing order…
If you play it at home, and there’s a special after the first season, it will play it after the first season…
If you use the download, and you have let’s say 15 specials, no matter what episode you are watching, it will download all season 0 first, so you have no episodes to watch, just specials and out of playing order.
If your series has 100 specials (think about doctor who), chances are you either watch all specials first, or make them as already watched so they won’t be downloaded, but then they won’t play at home at the right order as the server will know they were already played. Or you’ll have to sync every season separately to avoid getting season 0 being downloaded first… There’s no a user friendly workaround. Please fix this download feature server side
