I’m on episode 15 of season 3, expecting to go to the next episodes (which shows correctly on the library), which would be episode 16 of season 3 … instead it plays one of the specials. I tried to see if the continue watching would show it but I manually advanced to the next episode and even though I have marked it as unwatched the continue watching is forcing me to episode 17, ignoring the episode I marked as unwatched.
I can’t see where it’s getting the idea to do this; never seen this issue before but I did search the forum before posting and I found that a lot of other people have had this same issue with no resolution.
So, I’m more or less just posting that whatever issue is present that is causing the tv episodes to play out of order is still happening on the latest version.
Happy to provide logs or anything else if you think it will help …
The specials pop up as the next episodes because it goes by the release date. This is usually a desired feature.
Some specials run inline with the regular season episodes. For instance, you may have a special that comes at the beginning of the season and if you don’t watch that first, the rest of the season may not make much sense.
If you do not want to watch your specials inline with the regular season episodes you can mark season 00 “the specials” as watched
I’m not exactly clear on the 2nd issue. Are you saying that no matter what you do, episode 16 is being skipped completely?
If you tell me what show it is I might be able to find out.
Nope, exactly what you said is what is occurring. It’s the release date; the episodes that is playing is simply the next based off the release date. I did not know it did that, I thought it maintained the order based off the ordering.
So, okay, no problem, I can deal with that.
And yes, I can get to episode 16; just not from 15; even if I marked the special as played; it still goes to it, I have to remove it from the library to get it to not use it. But that is fine; I’d rather it do that, I just didn’t know that it was.
