Download on Android works first but then completely broken after several days

I Had this issue twice now and don’t have a clue what to do about it.

After a while, when I go to Downloads on an Android Tablet, only a big arrow is shown instead of the media files I downloaded. After I had this issue the first time, I removed the app and installed it completely new. After that, downloads worked again. But only for several days as this issue is now happening again.
No media is shown and I cant add new items to get downloaded.
The already synced media files are still on the device, as I can access an start the item directly from the filesystem and view them in a different app like kodi.

I guess when I wipe the Plex app, it will work again, but I dont want to do it every month and hope someone has a clue what can be done to fix this issue.

Downloads worked fine before I got the issue the first time. So I guess that it came with an update of the app.

I cleared the cache and data cache for the third time, and Downloads are working again. Lets see how long it takes to get broken again. :frowning:

Same problem here. It’s incredibly frustrating, and nothing I’ve been able to do resolves the problem short of uninstalling the app. I wish that they’d just go back to Sync. It was so much better.

Nice one! Happened again! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I see this behavior as well. Downloads are handled inconsistently and mostly poorly. Clearing the cache allows things to work for a time, but “a time” may be a few songs worth, or it may be a few hours. It works a little better in airplane mode, but still eventually cannot load the next item in the queue.
