Hi all,
I don’t know if is a stupid question, but I really can’t get it.
I have my Plex Server running well, and some family members have access to him remotely.
But sometimes they want to download a video from the server. And until here all ok. They can.
But why there is not an option to download also the subtitle, from my server. If my subtitles are saved in my server also.
I need everytime they download a video from my server, to send the subtitle by email for ex.

Are you talking about “downloading” as in downloading the video from within Plex (e.g. to a mobile Plex client or to a Plex for Mac/Windows desktop client)?
Hi,
Yes. In my case it’s within Windows:
Sorry for the screenshot. Is in portuguese. But I think you can get it.
I’m still not premium, but I have the option to download the file. But only the video, not the subtitle.
I need to be premium for that?
From what I remember, Plex will only download the subtitles (and audio tracks) matching your audio & subtitle preferences:
https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/account
But in the preferences the config is correct.
But is true that normally I put the subtitle name like this:
Ex.: Name S01E01.srt
Maybe I need to put:
Ex.: Name S01E01.por.srt
I don’t know if putting the .por in front, plex will understand, or if I need to do in another way.
Yes… Otherwise Plex considers it just “some” subtitle – not a subtitle in a specific language. As your language preferences for subtitles refer to Portuguese, Plex will ignore subtitles in “some” (other) language
