Having a subtitle issue. I have two servers. Ones local hard drives and one is cloud-based. Both of mine have subtitles for almost everything.
I set my brother up with Plex and linked to my same cloud Server media with him (so he has his own hardware). He sees no subtitle options for things that if he switches off his server to either of mine, do show them. I had him mimic my agents list and refresh metadata but that didn’t fix it. Any ideas?

Or in case you’re not referring to Plex automatic subtitles but those stored on your storage alongside your movies… make sure your brother has Local Media Assets enabled for the agent used in his library (Settings > Agents > …)
No, no physical SRT files associated with the media. Want them automated via Plex like it does for my end. I sent him that link to try so waiting to hear if that first post fixes it, thanks

Not sure, but I think that your brother needs to have a Plex Pass for the new subtitle download feature, if that is what you are referring to. It wouldn’t matter that the media he is using is stored on your cloud server, because his server is not Plex Pass enabled.
For the new On Demand Subtitle Search, the PMS owner must have a Plex Pass. Shared users also have access to the subtitles.
You must be running Plex Media Server version 1.13.8.5395 or newer. The following client/player apps have support for subtitle searching:
