I saw that now we can download instead of sync , which is super nice !
But my friends who have acces to my server can t download, only sync. I try also with my laptop, with my friend account, and I can only sync …
Do you know why ?
Is it possible to let my friends DL from my serveur instead of Sync?

Syncing and downloading is managed as one setting/preference in the user restrictions… so if your friend can sync, he/she should also be able to download.
That being said… downloading is only supported with the new Plex desktop client.
From what I remember it’s not supported in the (older) Plex Media Player nor the “big screen” / tv clients.
On a mobile device there’s no direct download option as Plex will always transcode the video to meet the device restrictions.

Everything is ‘‘enable’’ sync/download.
Plex desktop client is updated, last version on MAC.
I tried logged with my account ( the one of the server with plex pass) it s working well, I can DL everything I want.
I tried with my friend account on my Mac, (my friend doesn’t has plex pass) it s doesn t allow to DL only to sync movie from my server.
I don t understand…If you have any suggestion ,there are welcome !
