As many here, I have some complaints about the new iOS version. but the most frustrating one is the sync process:
Why, oh why did you remove the possibility to batch download a show? being able to sync the next 5 or 10 unwatchable episodes was great. Now we have to downlaod each individual episode. And I guess we have to remove them individually as well.

what a downgrade…

This is just the download progress tab. This is about the fact that you can no longer set individually for each series that new / unseen episodes are loaded and deleted after watching.
Have you used this function before? It was cool

Becki, 100% agree. I used this feature all the time and now it seems it isn’t available! Very disappointing

Bring back season downloads! Having to download a show episode by episode is insane! Auto downloading based on view status was incredibly convenient, now the downloads feature is almost unusable

I second this..
Auto-downloads of say, the next 3 unwatched episodes of a show was so convenient. The current downloads function is better suited for films than episodic series.

This is basically the entire reason I use Plex. Taking series to watch on my travels.

I was able to download a full season, but I know in the old app you were able to pick how many you wanted out of the season example if you wanted three or five or the whole thing now the only option is to download the full season which sucks because it downloaded the whole season plus the eight episodes that I already watched.

They really have some work to do in this new mobile app. I wish they would roll back and get the bugs worked out.

The newest version of the app advertises it a a ‘new feature’. As you noted though, it’s still half the implementation of the old app.

To throw some positives, the new ui looks good, they are making progress toward a better app, but this shouldn’t have been done of the backs of users.

I agree with that the app was good as it was this new look is a step backwards.

Honestly they should move back and sort this beta out before we are stuck loosing features, performance , and user experience.

I also hate that it defaults to recommended instead of browse. Hate having options forced on me that I don’t want.

I have the same problem.
Sync was replaced by download about 2 years ago, which was already a step backwards,
And now, downloading to tablets and Android smartphones has disappeared …
Enough to force the switch to Stremio or Jellyfin, I have no interest in staying on Plex.

The new experience has killed so many features in downloads. Still needs a lot of work.
