I have a master playlist of music that I have flagged and downloaded. I have two other playlists that are subsets of this playlist. e.g. All IOS music > My Songs > My Favorite Songs., where each is a smaller set all contained within the ‘All’ playlist. My question is: do I need to also download these sub set/nested playlists as well or is this system smart and efficient enough to know that the media is already local since it’s already downloaded in the ‘All’ playlist?
Yes, Downloads is smart enough to not re-download the same content.
So it sounds like in my case I need to enable download on all three playlists and Plex is smart enough not to create dupes on my device.
Yes, and you will be able to delete any of them in the future and not affect the others. i.e. Content of the other playlists won’t get removed.
