When will downloading be available to friends?

Sorry, I don’t know if the lack of this feature has been fixed, but just skyped with my dad who told me he took screenshots to add to a word document because he can’t download pictures of my son from the library I share with him; further telling me he was about to download some WORD to JPG app to be able to turn the document into JPGs.

I would like to know why this feature is not available, the lack of this is simply astounding. You can see the picture you you can’t download it… someone explain to me the logic and thinking behind that.

Also would be nice to know why I have the options to set “sync and download” for the user, but the option to download from the photo album is not available, am I missing something here?

Please have this feature added, instead of telling me “I’m gonna sell you a car that can go 100mph, but I’m going to limit it to 55mph so you don’t break the law and hold me accountable”
