Trying to download some of my movies but don’t need the full size (lots of 4k movies). Before the I updated on both windows and mac my Plex (unraid) server would transcode the smaller file. But once both apps updated it was no longer transcoding just downloading the full files. Is this a common issue?

What options have you configured for downloading media?
Settings > Plex for Windows > Downloads
Settings > Plex for Mac > Downloads

You can change the default download quality for Music and Video files. By default each will be set to “Original”
Came here to report the same issue. Plex for Mac 1.110.0.351-4e48eb83 completely ignores the quality setting. Tried every value there; it always downloads at original quality making downloading a full season of a show completely unusable.
Same here for me. Windows version 1.110.0.351-4e48eb83. The server version doesn’t seem to make a difference. Rolling back the desktop app to 1.109.0.329-ea562b95 did however fix it for me

Same for me. No matter what I pick in the App, or change videoDownloadQuality to in plex.ini it always downloads as original quality
