Glad to hear downloads are working again @some_scro
Sometimes with the Plex for Mac app, a complete uninstall is the easy fix.
That would normally include,
I uninstalled the client and deleted all those folders (the equivalents of them in Windows, anyway), then reinstalled and still get “We were unable to prepare your download. Please try again later”.
However, I’m not usually seeing the Downloads link in my contextual menu:
At one point, I was able to find a Download button somewhere (??), but clicking it just downloaded the original music file to my Downloads directory. Clicking it did not tell Plex Media Player to attempt to sync the file into the ~/Library/Application Support/Plex directory for seamless playback while offline. In fact, that directory does not exist, though I do have ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Player and ~/Library/Application Support/Plexamp directories.
How can I sync all the music stored on my Plex Media Server to my laptop for listening through Plex Media Player when offline? Thanks.
(BTW, downloads are working with Plex for iOS, so I assume the issue is with Plex Media Player, not with Plex Media Server.)
Thank you soooo much! The fix for Windows did it. This had been bugging my gf and me since half a year. I even did a fresh Server installation, we were so disappointed when that did not fix it.
