Hi guys
I’m trying to use the new downloads feature on an iPad and also am iPhone. On both devices when a film is selected the download just hangs up and just shows zero progress with 0kb data transfer. Is anyone else having this issue? Maybe there’s something I need to do? Any help appreciated as this is an important feature for me. Thanks
There’s been a recent update by Plex about some known issues they’re still working on. One of those might apply to your issue (DNS rebind protection).
Otherwise it might be helpful to verify if you might still have some old sync jobs on those devices that might get “in the way”:
- Clear all existing jobs from
Downloads
>Items
- Disable the new downloads feature in the iOS Plex settings
- Check the Sync item in the sidebar for leftovers and delete them
- Re-enable the new downloads feature

Having a similar problem here. I feel like the problems are all over the place for me. In IOS, music is downloading at an extremely slow rate (a few minute per song) and then stalls out while at the same time deleting random albums for no reason. I was literally listing to an album and it stopped playing in the middle of a song. After looking at what was going on, Plex was trying to download the album as if it never downloaded in the first place. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the Plex app on my phone several times and still the same results. Slow as f*ck downloading/deleting under my home network with the a readynas 214 as my server. Typically it takes me about 10-15 seconds to download an album and they never in the past would just delete themselves at random.
