I have iOS 15.0.1 and the latest Plex and when I try to download a movie, it seems to not do anything.
Have you moved from Sync to Downloads?
Was Downloads working before you moved to 15.0.1
Has anything changed which may have stopped the downloads working?
I have the same Issue on my iPad Pro 11" 2020 with iPadOS 15.1 → Sync still works, but the “new” Downloads doesn’t - what is sad, because I never really liked the Sync-feature. It was too clumsy and complicated and it always tried to converts my videos regardless of what I have set up. The new Downloads-feature doesn’t do anything: I wanna download for example a movie from my library to the iPad, it says: “Downloading …” but when I switch to the “Downloads”-tab it stucks at 0.0 Kb/s and nothing happens. This seems to be a common problem, many users seem to have that problem. I already tried to log out, log in, restart the app completely and I even uninstalled and installed it again, but nothing helps with that.
I hope this gets fixed in a future release.

I have exactly the same problem @Aardyena, the team are looking into it thankfully.
I have the latest plex app on my iOS devices. and it used to be sync, now it is downloads.
when I choose a tv show episode or a movie it shows at the bottom download scheduled. then nothing happens.

I loved the sync feature, I used always have a few episodes of a tv show or a movie synced to my iPhone so that if I am waiting for someone in the parking lot I can just watch what I had synced.

hello, I would like to say that the downloads part seems to be working, and at a very fast speed.
I was not away that I had to change some of the settings in the downloads settings menu.
and I also rebooted my NAS that plex is on, and when I tried to downloads a movie it work and was very fast to download to my iPad Air.
