Download is not working

Player Version#: 7.24.1

When I am trying to download, it’s my own Plex Synology server, to my iPad or iPhone it just says “Downloading…” and never downloads the movies. However, the “Sync” function works. Looking for help.

Make sure to clear all previously synced content as well as potentially open sync jobs before switching to the new download feature.

is the phone/screen going to sleep? after initiating the DL can you try going to and leaving it on the downloads “items” view

Same issue for me. Leaving the display awake doesn’t change anything. Still no progress.

I will say when it was first introduced for iOS it worked fine and quickly. not sure what changed? On MacOS Monterey it’s really quick. So I’m compelled to think it is directly related to iOS.

EDIT: Checked downloads on the Windows Plex App. And it downloaded the show instantaneously almost. Server is running on latest Plex Pass Build in Docker Container

So I figured out that using Pihole/Unbound was causing my issues. Switching DNS handling to adguard home fixed iOS downloads for me.

After clearing the Sync items last night, it started working today. Thanks for the help!
