Downloads only seem to work outside my local network

Server Version#: Version 1.27.2.5929
Player Version#: 9.5.0.33736 (Android)

If I am on wifi my downloads jsut give me a message saying there has been an error, tap to retry.

If I am on mobile data or on another wifi network then the download proceeds ( albeit at a snails pace)

I just purchased Plex Pass purely to get some files downloaded for travel. How can I fix this please? I don’t want to use all my mobile data.

Curiously, if I start a download on mobile data, and then re-enable my wifi the download swaps to wifi and then completes quickly. It doesn’t seem to let me /start/ new downloads on local wifi but seems happy to resume them…

“DNS rebinding protection”
Put the domain name plex.direct onto the list of exceptions from this protection.
(if your DNS resolver or router actually provides such a setting)

I have a BT Home hub in the UK. I don’t believe I have any such option. Does this mean it will not work for me?

I am not familiar with that router, so I can’t say anything definitive.
But if it doesn’t provide the required configuration menu, and you are also not able to replace it with a different router, then the answer might be Yes I’m afraid.
