After making several attempts to download movies for offline play on my ipad, they all seem to fail.
At first I realized that much of the slowness was cause by slow/low priority background transcodes for the downloaded version, but after changing some settings, the transcode finishes in a few minutes.
The strange part is that the download reports as complete pretty quickly, a few minutes, both on the device (the bar under ‘downloading 1 of 1’) and on the server (the dashboard widget circle is completely full as well as the log reporting 100%) but the download is obviosly not complete and the bandwidth widget on the plex dashboard shows continuous spikes of 10Mbps averaging to about 2Mbps.
the speeds are not that unexpected, but the lack of progress or clarity on the status of the download makes it difficult to understand when it will be done.
Additionally if I close and restart the application on the ipad, the download ‘restarts’ quickly gets back to 100% and then sits there.
