Is the download feature still in beta?

So, wanted to download some stuff before I fly out of country today. Download is very very slow (not the internet connection) and then failed completely and started again at 0%.

Is this ever going to get fixed? Is that not working in background?

Edit: iPad decided to update the Plex app during download and guess which app can’t resume. That’s right…
Started at 0% over again.
Why is this SO slow, I am sitting at 200mbit here, the server at Gbit, I am getting full speed to the server via other means. The cpu is idle at 0%.
How did this pass QA?
How is this acceptable to release to paying customers?

Seriously?

Sadly you aren’t alone in a feature that isn’t in Beta having quite a few challenges. For example right now I’m looking at a download that is stuck at 71%, local network, full connectivity, able to playback the media file.

I’ve just force quit the app, and the download has started again.

What throughput are you seeing when looking at Plex dashboard whilst your downloads are happening. In my experience with Infuse, on reasonable WIFI you should see 150-200 Mbps, however with the Plex app this seems to be more 80-120Mbps (these are highly variable numbers based on your server setup, HDD storage setup and overall wifi performance).

I’ve given up trying to work with 4k content, also 1080p X264, instead focusing on the better file size of 1080p x265 content.

I saw 50mbit tops, which is 1/4 my connection can do. It is definitely a Plex issue, not a connection issue, I can say with 100% certainty
