Do I need to do something with movies about DRM? When I tried playing on the web player it is giving an error message about it can’t play due to DRM. It is tell me to do something in my browers setting. I using Edge, Chrome, and Opera. I am new to Plex

I know about iTunes. I downloading my videos from the Movies app on Windows 10. They are a MP4 format. Is there a way I can get my movies have them on my Plex Server with out getting DRM. If I need to download a software, I want to be free. I found a software and I can get it for free, but I will work up to 3 minutes unless I pay for it.

Not here… messing with DRM isn’t what we discuss here in any way.

Is there another solution on getting movies to be playable on my Plex Sever. If possible to use the digital movies that I already own. If not what else can I do?

Technically, you do not own the movie. The details are buried in the Terms & Conditions that we all read (not!) when signing up for such services.

For example, the provider may lose rights to the movie and remove it from their catalog. If that happens, you will not be able to stream it from their service even though you “purchased” the movie.

All the online streaming sites use DRM, not just iTunes.

As @tom80H states, any discussion of ways to circumvent DRM or obtain media you do not own is not permitted on the forum.

For DRM protected media, look elsewhere. The Internet is a big place. You’ve apparently already found one solution.

If you own the DVD or Blu-ray disc, you can rip it using MakeMKV or similar software. Then name the file according to Plex requirements and add it to your server.
