DS218+ / DSM 6.2 / PlexMediaServer-1.13.5.5291 / Web interface not working

On a DS218+after DSM 6.2-23739 Update 2 update Plex stopped working then following another topic here:

  • uninstalled (32 bit) Plex
  • downloaded PlexMediaServer-1.13.5.5291 from Plex.tv
  • installed manually successfully
  • and Synology Package Center also shows that it is running

I can access Plex from Iphone / Ipad / Chromecast - can browse categories, play any movie, also if I add a file to the Plex directory it correctly shows up in the playlist after couple seconds.
However, the web interface is unavailable: all devices are on a LAN (cable and Wifi) - tried to log on from Windows client (connected to the same switch as the NAS), Mac - all shows error message:

Safari Cant Open the Page
…because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection

I have not changed any network setting - other than the NAS upgrade.
Access to Synology via https://192.168.1.200:5001 works from any computer.
Could you please help what to check.

Are insecure connections disallowed on your PMS ?
Have you tried https://192.168.1.200:32400 ?

Thanks! That was a very good suggestion - using https I could actually log on finally.

Interestingly, the DSM web center opens Plex via non-secure link - which used to work til the upgrade that is why I could not log on the way I used to do.
I have changed the "Allow Fallback to Insecure Connections " in Plex now to make sure it works in the future.
